What Makes the Colombian licencia de conducción Hard to Parse

The Colombian licencia de conducción is issued by local transit authorities (organismos de tránsito), with every licence registered in the national RUNT system. On the Colombian licencia de conducción the licence number is the holder's cédula number, and the card lists one or more categories (A1, A2, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3) each with its own validity date. A rider app or fleet therefore needs the category it cares about and that category's expiry, not just the card's first date.

One API Call, Named Fields

The StructOCR Driver License OCR API returns the licence number (the cédula), the holder's names and surnames, date of birth, issue date and the categories printed on the card. Dates are returned as YYYY-MM-DD. Send a JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF as Base64 JSON or as a multipart upload; there is no SDK to embed in your app, although official Python and Node.js SDKs are available.
