The Turkish sürücü belgesi is issued by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs (Nüfus ve Vatandaşlık İşleri). The Turkish sürücü belgesi (ehliyet) follows the EU numbered-field layout, and field 4d carries the holder's T.C. Kimlik No. Fields 1 and 2 hold the surname and name, 3 the date and place of birth, 4a and 4b the issue and expiry dates, 5 the licence number and 9 the classes.
