The Data-Entry Problem in vehicle rental check-in

Rental agents lose time entering license numbers, names, addresses, classes, and expiration dates before a vehicle handover. Teams also need to distinguish a readable barcode from a verified person or authentic credential; combining those concepts creates compliance and product risk.

Deterministic Barcode Parsing with Human Confirmation

Capture the back of the US license during pre-check-in, pre-fill the agreement, and ask the renter or agent to confirm the returned fields. StructOCR's driver license PDF417 API decodes the barcode and parses the AAMVA record without asking a generative model to reconstruct unreadable values. A decoded barcode supports data entry but does not by itself establish driving eligibility or document authenticity.
